According to the company, LED lighting has been used on the exterior, which results in a 68% saving in energy usage, up to 262,500 kW/h per year and reduces light pollution.
The facility collects rainwater to flush toilets and cool the welding machines, while its ultra-clean paint shop will save 50 million gallons of water in ten years; low-flow water fixtures and no-touch sensors throughout the plant reduce water usage by 30%.
The surrounding landscaping also consists of natural flowing creeks to capture heavy rains and restore a natural habitat.
