Suffolk Construction has secured a contract from the Kensington Investment Company and National Development, a New England-based investment company, to develop a new 27-storey residential tower named the Kensington at 659 Washington Street in Boston, US.
The 488,000ft2 facility designed by Boston-based Architectural Team will feature 381 luxury apartments, 2,300ft2 of retail space on the ground floor, and 110 parking spaces.

In addition to ground-floor retail space there will be a space to exhibit artifacts from the Gaiety Theatre.
The building will also house clubrooms, a sixth-floor, open-air, heated pool with a landscaped terrace, common areas and a fitness facility.
The project will be designed and constructed to achieve LEED Gold certification and is scheduled for completion by summer 2013.
