Network Homes has reappointed Wates Living Space to continue providing maintenance services for its 14,000 properties for five more years.

The contract extension is worth £40m and will start in November 2021.

Initially signed in 2016, the contract involves delivering repairs and maintenance services including responsive, planned, and voids work across Greater and North West London.

Wates Living Space regional managing director Gary Wilkinson said: “Alongside the great work our teams have done improving people’s homes and our support for the local community, we are also trying to limit our impact on the environment during our works.

“We have committed to converting all vans used on the contract to electric by 2025, donating 10,000 trees and providing Network Homes with access to the Wates Innovation Network, a new portal which connects partners to a marketplace of suppliers of sustainable innovations that can help tackle environmental challenges.”

Under the current contract, Wates has already delivered more than 30,000 repairs and 400 voids each year, 500 free level one and two NVQ and equivalent training courses for local people, and 400 places for local people on CV and interview workshops.
