Swedish construction company NCC has secured a contract worth nearly $53.3m (SEK460m) to construct a new office building, Valle Vision, in Oslo, Norway.

Commercial real estate agency Union Eiendomskapital has awarded the contract through the UREF II Holding fund.

The new 23,500m2 office building will comprise 14 stories and two stories below the ground level. It is the third phase of the Valle area of Oslo.

Previously, the construction company built the two first phases, the Valle Wood and Valle View projects, in the area.

In 2019, Union Eiendomskapital secured all phases of the Valle area along with the development rights for the fourth phase.

Now, Valle Vision will also be constructed in the same architectural style as previous two projects.
The company stated that the new building will be environmentally certified in as per the BREEAM system, Excellent level.

NCC Building Nordics business area manager Catarina Molén-Runnäs said: “We will now continue to build in the area where NCC has played an active part in urban development for many years.

“Once again, our offering in this contract tendering process proved to be competitive, which pleases me. Having built two groundbreaking office buildings in the area, we have a well-trimmed and experienced project organization in place that is ready for this assignment.”

Construction work on the project is scheduled to begin in this autumn with completion expected in the third quarter of 2023.

Recently, NCC secured SEK400m contract to build a new office building for PensionDanmark at Marmormolen wharf in Copenhagen, Denmark.
