Swedish construction company NCC has commenced the Nova property development project in Järva Krog, Stockholm.

This marks the start of next step in the development of Järva Krog neighbourhood, where the company has previously completed the development of two office blocks in the area.

NCC sold the two office projects, K12 and K11 in 2019 and 2021, respectively.

NCC Property Development business area manager Joachim Holmberg said: “We will now continue our development of the Järva Krog neighborhood, which is a safe and green city district with good transport connections.”

The L-shaped Nova property includes nearly 13,000m2 of office, service and retail space and will have two wings with nine and ten, stories respectively.

NCC stated that the Nova property will be developed with focus on tenant wellbeing and will provide sustainable rental contracts.

The project will also regulate landlords’ and tenants’ sustainability commitments and support the companies which want to run sustainable business.

Holmberg further added: “We are creating an innovative and inspiring work environment in Nova, with a focus on people and meetings, and sustainability and wellbeing as essential ingredients.

“We know that this is in high demand and will be highly sought after by our tenants when they return after a long period of working from home.”

Construction work on the project is scheduled to commence this autumn with completion planned in the second half of 2023.

Furthermore, Equator has been appointed as the architect for the project.
