
Construction company NCC has started work on an office project in central Gothenburg, Sweden.
Encompassing an area of around 8,000m2, the Habitat 7 office project at Masthuggskajen is located next to NCC’s Våghuset and Brick Studios projects.
NCC property development head Joachim Holmberg said: “We are now continuing our development of Masthuggskajen and commencing work on our third project in the district.
“Habitat 7 is a spectacular office project, and an option for companies seeking a sustainable workplace that goes beyond the ordinary.
“The outdoor feeling has been brought indoors at Habitat 7 to offer the best possible conditions for employee creativity and wellbeing.”
Distributed across eight stories, the project will have a lettable area of around 8,000m2.

Centrally situated at Järntorget, the property is close to culture, restaurants and bars.
At the beginning of construction, the letting rate is stated to be 30%.
Being built using solid wood technology with a hybrid frame of climate-smart concrete and wood, the building is designed to generate minimum environmental impact.
For its sustainable urban development, the project is expected to receive sustainability certifications, such as the BREEAM Excellent level.
Construction of Habitat 7 is set to be finished in the first quarter of 2025.
The project will be undertaken by NCC Building Sweden, and registered in the order book of the second quarter of 2022.
