Miller Homes has acquired land at multiple locations across the east of Scotland to develop 526 new homes.

The company now plans to commence construction on new housing developments at Winton View in Tranent, Station Brae in Maddiston, Calderwood in East Calder, Victoria Wynd in Kirkcaldy, and Carberry Grange in Whitecraig.

The Winton View development will include 99 three-to-five-bedroom homes and the Victoria Wynd development will feature 105 three- and four-bedroom homes.

Station Brae development will feature24 affordable homes, 72 terraced, semi-detached, and detached homes, while the Carberry Grange development will comprise 187 three-to-five-bedroom properties, and 63 affordable homes.

Miller Homes stated that the Calderwood development marks its second phase of development.

Miller Homes land director David Morgan said: “These are key acquisitions, meeting the needs of local people and communities which are growing and thriving.

Last month, Balfour Beatty was appointed as contractor to deliver £13m City Centre West to East Cycle Link & Street Improvements project (CCWEL) in Edinburgh, Scotland.

The CCWEL project will connect Roseburn to Leith Walk with direct cycle route and enhancing space for walking, wheeling and cycling.

The route is divided into three sections and will include two-way segregated cycleways from Roseburn to Haymarket which will connect to one-way segregated cycleways on each side of Melville Street.
