Metnor Construction has been appointed by High Street Group to deliver a £50m build-to-rent apartment scheme in Birmingham, UK.

The 220-unit apartment project will be located less than a mile from New Street Station in Birmingham.

This build-to-rent facility will be a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments, which will be configured around a central courtyard.

It will be an eight-storey building and will offer a concierge service, along with residential gym, car parking and cycle storage.

Westminster Works represents the first development project between The High Street Group and Metnor Construction.

Furthermore, the scheme is a part of the £1bn Gross Development Value (GDV) portfolio of projects which are being delivered by the High Street Group.

These are expected to create new sustainable communities in key locations across the UK.

Metnor CEO Chris Cant said: “As a business, we have been watching with admiration some of the amazing projects that HSG continue to develop both in our region and further afield.

“It has been a major part of our growth strategy to become a partner with HSG, and both our team and theirs have been working tirelessly over the past 6 months or so to make this happen.

“We have been incredibly impressed with HSG’s professionalism and enthusiasm for the local economy and the built environment, helping create wonderful spaces for local communities and we are absolutely delighted and thankful to have been awarded this exciting scheme, which the whole Metnor Group will be actively engaged in delivering.”
