To reduce electricity usage in the common areas, the property will be partially powered using solar panels on carports.

During the pre-construction phase, McShane has worked with the owner, architect, and engineers to determine best practices for the construction and provide improved construction methods for the project.

Construction work on the new multi-family development is expected to be completed by September 2023.

McShane senior vice president Jim Kurtzman said: “We’re thrilled to work on another project in Tempe with Milhaus.

“Located in an Opportunity Zone, Apache will bring luxury apartments to Tempe’s rapidly growing Cultural District.”

Currently, the company is working on a 310-unit multi-family development in Tempe, named Banyan North Tempe, for Milhaus.

Last month, McShane was appointed by real estate firm Related Group to build a new garden-style community in Chandler, Arizona.
