L&T has secured this order from Uttar Pradesh State Water & Sanitation Mission.

The company is responsible for providing functional house tap connections (FHTC) to the rural parts of the state under the Jal Jeevan Mission.

Earlier this month, Larsen & Toubro’s construction arm has secured orders for its various businesses in India.

Its Water & Effluent Treatment Business of L&T Construction won a contract from the Rural Drinking Water & Sanitation Division of the Indian state of Karnataka to build drinking water supply facilities for 396 rural habitations in the districts of Dharwad and Belagavi from the Renukasagar Reservoir (Navilutheertha dam).

The company will work under a design, build, operate and transfer basis under the state’s Multi Village Drinking Water Supply Scheme.
