The Asian Development Bank in the Philippines is close to approving a $250 loan to help finance construction of a 176km two-lane toll highway in Shanxi, eastern China, which includes several sections of tunnels. Once the loan has been approved , international tenders will be invited for both construction and consultancy design bids. Work will be split into 18 construction packages.
