Gloucester City Council and Reef Group have appointed Kier as main contractor for the second phase of a £107m digital campus in Gloucester, UK.
The technology campus, named The Forum, will be located in the heart of the city centre.

It will comprise conference facilities, 135,000ft2 of grade A workspace, rooftop restaurant and bar, a 4-star hotel, cafes, along with a wellness centre.
Designed to be rated BREEAM Excellent, the project will use air-sourced heat pumps as well as a ‘blue’ roof for water attenuation.
Kier has planned to commence work on the project site in spring this year.
The project, which received £5m funding from the government’s levelling-up fund, is supporting the council’s aim to regenerate the city centre.

Recently, the company received a contract from Croydon Health Services NHS Trust for a £10.4m refurbishment project at Croydon University Hospital.
Work on the project involves conversion of the Jubilee South Wing’s ground floor into a new 22-bed intensive treatment unit (ITU) with four isolation suites.
