British construction company Kier has secured 13 new school projects worth nearly £170m in England and Wales.
The projects, which are in line with the Government’s mission to improve school buildings, include a combination of new buildings and refurbishment, providing facilities to more than 11,000 pupils.

Kier said that it will use its experience in developing educational facilities to deliver the new projects, which include new builds in Addington Valley, a new SEN school in Croydon and Barton Court Academy, a new free school in Canterbury.
The 13 projects which Kier will develop include, Addington Valley in Croydon, Bishopston School, Tan-Y-Lan and Ysgol Gyfun Gwyr in Swansea, Barton Court Academy in Canterbury, Dover Grammar School for Boys in Dover, Haberdashers’ Aske’s Hatcham College, Harris Academy Clapham, Park Hill Primary in London, Livingstone Academy in Bournemouth, Stantonbury International School in Milton Keynes, Whipton Barton in Exeter and Ysgol-Y-Graig in Anglesey.
In Bournemouth, Kier will modify a former police station, magistrates and coroners court into a STEAM specialist all-through school.

By GlobalDataKier will also deliver refurbishment programmes at both Park Hill Junior School in Croydon and in Wales and will construct four new school projects, providing much-needed facilities in the city of Swansea.
