Kier Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks, a member of the Integrated Operational Solutions (IOS) Alliance, has announced the continuation of its decade-long partnership with Anglian Water, a water company in England.

The partnership has been renewed with a new five-year contract for Asset Management Period 8 (AMP8), which is part of an £11bn ($12.3bn) investment programme.

The IOS Alliance, which is instrumental in executing specialised projects for both clean water and water recycling services, will carry on its role with Anglian Water, signifying a sustained focus on joint delivery and operational excellence.

Under the renewed agreement, the IOS Alliance is set to undertake a programme of works valued at £400m over the next five years.

The work will encompass a range of tasks, from emergency pipe repairs to constructing essential infrastructure such as pumping stations.

The alliance’s integrated commercial framework is designed to facilitate the sharing of best practices and pooling of expertise, which aims to deliver sustainable outcomes that are beneficial for both customers and the environment.

This contract renewal follows Kier’s continuous engagements in the water sector. The company has recently been reappointed to Anglian Water’s Integrated Maintenance and Repair Developer Services alliance and Integrated Metering Alliance.

Kier Water managing director Andy Linghams said: “We’re proud to extend our decade-long partnership with Anglian Water through this new five-year contract and continue working alongside fellow IOS Alliance members as we move into the next AMP cycle.

“This renewed commitment reflects the strength of our collaborative approach and shared ambition to deliver smarter, more sustainable water infrastructure across the region. Together, we’re not just delivering projects – we’re helping shape a resilient future for the communities we serve.”

In September 2024, Kier secured a position on Wessex Water’s Capital Delivery Partner Framework for AMP8.
