West Lindsey District Council has collaborated with Keepmoat Homes, a UK-based house-building company, to deliver a new sustainable neighbourhood in West Lindsey, UK.

The house-building company will deliver a mix of modern, high-quality two-, three- and four-bedroom homes, with a range of house types and styles in West Lindsey.

The company is planning to construct 454 new homes that will be built in a tranquil woodland setting, adjacent to Warren Wood in the town, offering a green backdrop to the development.

Construction of the new homes, on land at Foxby Lane, (opposite Morrisons) in Gainsborough, will be the first development in Greater Lincolnshire.

West Lindsey District Council deputy leader Owen Bierley said: “This scheme is the first investment Keepmoat have made into Greater Lincolnshire, which recognises our work to regenerate the town centre and our vision for a prosperous future for Gainsborough and West Lindsey.”

Homes England, a non-departmental public body that funds new affordable housing in England, has provided £2.19m of Housing Infrastructure Fund (HIF) to deliver the housing across England.

The HIF funds will help to improve the road infrastructure into the site, as well as the improvements to electrical and water infrastructure.

The project will include improvements to increase the capacity of the Lea Road/ Foxby Lane junction and improved access into Warren Wood along with plans for the Woodland Trust to take over the management of Warren Wood.

Furthermore, the second phase of the development is expected to include a new primary school.
