Student housing network BaseCamp Student has selected US-based construction consulting firm Hill International to provide project management services for a project to build student residences and a four-star hotel in Western Poland.

The project will transform the historic Mamut bakery complex on Sienkiewicza Street in Wroclaw into student residences and a hotel.

Grupa 5 Architekci had designed the facilities, which are planned to be completed in three years.
The 775-room student apartment building will feature a wide range of multipurpose common spaces.

To be built opposite the Botanical Garden of the University of Wroclaw, the six-storey hotel will offer 236 double rooms and four apartments.

Other features of the facility include a 360m2 conference centre, a fitness area, a lobby with a bar, a restaurant, and an underground car park.

Hill Poland vice-president and managing director Jacek Zurawski said: “We are excited to team up with BaseCamp and support this unique project with our project management and technical supervision services.

Hill International said it would provide project management and multidiscipline technical supervision services for the approximately 45,000m2 project.

Recently, Hill International was selected by Cyprus Tourism and Development Company (CTDC) to offer management services for a hospitality project in Nicosia, Cyprus.

The project is a redevelopment of the Landmark Nicosia hotel into a distinct mixed-use hospitality and lifestyle destination.

The development plan includes upgrading and modernising the hotel and building a new mixed-use development of nearly 23,000m² of gross floor area on an adjacent plot.

The plan also includes reprogramming the internal and external areas of the hotel to include new offerings such as conference facilities, new restaurants and bars, a new spa and a fitness centre.
