UK-based Higgins Construction and A2Dominion have formed a joint venture vehicle for delivering a housing development that will feature more than 300 homes in West London.

The joint venture is equally owned by Higgins and A2Dominion. Both parties intend to capitalise on the other’s resources and expertise for delivering the project.

The housing development includes 333 studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom homes. Out of the total homes, 216 will be put up for sale and 117 will be affordable homes, the joint venture said.

The project is also expected to enhance the existing residential area by offering shops, cafés and restaurants along with a new village square situated just minutes from Elizabeth’s Line’s Hanwell Station.

Higgins partnerships director Declan Higgins said: “We are extremely excited to announce the delivery of this development in partnership with such an established member of the G15.

“The joint venture not only reinforces our existing relationship with A2Dominion but represents the first project to be delivered under the recently re-branded Higgins Partnerships.”

The housing scheme will feature amenity spaces such as garden terraces, play space for children and rooftop gardens.

The homes have been designed to be sitting in three blocks, featuring contemporary soft brickwork, offering a contrast to the dark frames of the shop frontages, completing the ‘village square’ design.

The project will also include 1,200m² of flexible workspace, offering job opportunities for start-ups and is expected to bring footfall to the area.

A2Dominion land and development director Danny Lynch said: “This scheme on Boston Road once again demonstrates our commitment to bring high-quality, affordable homes to the borough of Ealing.

“Partly through joint ventures with partners like Higgins, we are delivering 1,000 properties in the borough over the next five years, almost half of which will be genuinely affordable, as well as investing in services and local communities.”

Assael Architects had designed the planning scheme for Boston Road while Fourpoint Architects has been appointed as the delivery architect.
