The Hanoi People’s Committee and FPT Corporation have commenced construction on the Digital Technology and Mixed-Use Park Project in Tay Tuu and Phu Dien wards in Vietnam.
The official announcement came from the Hanoi People’s Committee, which, on 15 January 2026, issued Decisions No. 238/QD-UBND and No. 239/QD-UBND.

The initiative sees FPT serving as project investor for the large-scale technology development, which is intended to support new growth areas anchored in science, technology, and innovation.
The project features a digital technology park spanning roughly 168.9ha, with about a quarter of the area dedicated to research, development, and production of digital technology products and services.
These include software, digital platforms, artificial intelligence, big data, Internet of Things, blockchain, and metaverse applications.
Facilities will also include training institutions, technology incubators, and collaborative spaces connecting research bodies, universities, and companies.

The governance structure involves State oversight for planning, policy, and supervision while FPT directly manages investment and operations.
This arrangement follows a collaborative model linking government, academia, and enterprise to develop environments that meet international standards for research and working conditions.
Hanoi People’s Committee vice chairman Truong Viet Dung said: “We highly appreciate FPT’s proactive and serious approach throughout the research and implementation of the project.”
According to FPT, the Digital Technology and Mixed-Use Park Project aligns with Politburo Resolution No. 15-NQ/TW’s goal to make Hanoi a central hub for economics, culture, education, and science, among others.
The project also supports Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW’s emphasis on science, technology, and national digital transformation as drivers of growth.
It aims to attract both domestic and foreign specialists, strengthen technology-focused enterprises, and build an ecosystem supportive of startups and innovation activity.
FPT chairman Truong Gia Binh said: “The Digital Technology and Mixed-Use Park in Tay Tuu and Phu Dien wards will become a convergence hub for technology talent, connecting research, education and enterprises, and serving as an innovation centre anchored in strategic technologies.
“FPT believes the project will help reinforce Hanoi’s position as the national centre for science and technology and gradually realise the aspiration of building a ‘Vietnamese Silicon Valley’.”
