US-based infrastructure company Granite has secured a contract worth $18m for the road reconstruction project in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Under the contract, the company will be responsible for full reconstruction of 300 West from 900 South to 2100 South.

The project design features a fully protected two-way bike lane and the incorporation of greenery-filled ‘parkstrips’ to aid in stormwater management and provide a buffer from traffic for pedestrians.

Scope of work under the contract also includes flat concrete work, asphalt paving, cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) sewer lining as well as traffic signal systems.

Construction work on the project is anticipated to be completed in the fall of 2022.

The company expects the contract awarded to be included in its second quarter committed and awarded projects (CAP).
