UK-based construction firm Graham has been appointed by Platform to deliver its £100m build-to-rent project in Glasgow, the UK.

Located on the banks of the Clyde, the development will include nearly 498 apartments spread across four blocks of varying height and a 20-storey tower.

The development, designed by architects Keppie, is part of a masterplan at the Clydeside Central Quay area.

The resident facilities at the project include lounges, gym, cycle club & café, games rooms, a rooftop garden, roof terraces and a co-working commercial area with cafe.

The project is located in close proximity to Glasgow Central Train Station, business district, Anderston train station and three airports.

The construction company is currently working on the site for enabling works and the project is planned to be completed in 2023.

Graham building division regional managing director Gary Holmes said: “Private rental developments are again increasing in popularity across the UK, feeding a growing appetite of those people who want flexible, sociable and cost-effective living, and this project further bolsters our strong position in the residential sector.”

Recently, the company was awarded a contract by South Bank Colleges to construct the new London South Bank Technical College at Nine Elms in Vauxhall, London.

Designed by Architecture PLB, the 10,000m2 teaching facility will be a purpose-designed building that will provide teaching, learning and support space for science, technology, engineering, arts, and maths.

The ground and first floor of the building will accommodate a two-storey section containing the main entrance space, café, informal learning space, and large workshops for construction skills training.
