US concrete reinforcement specialist Synthetics Industries (SI) has agreed in principle to acquire certain assets of MetalMix BV, supplier of steel fibre for concrete reinforcement in Europe. “We believe that the European marketplace will be an area of rapid growth for steel fibre, and this acquisition will prepare us to handle both demand and distribution,” says Geoff Hampson, managing director of SI’s International Division.
