
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) of the Philippines will construct a new office building for the Commission On Audit (COA) in Quezon City.
This building will be constructed at the COA’s central office compound.

DPWH and COA held a groundbreaking ceremony on 20 December.
The four-storey building with basement will offer a comfortable working space for the state auditors.
The project is scheduled for completion by 2024.
DPWH will be responsible for removal of COA’s Canteen and Commissary Building; site development; carpentry and joinery works; concrete structures and steel reinforcements.

By GlobalDataIt will also undertake installations of various systems including closed-circuit television (CCTV) system, public address system, grounding system, automatic fire sprinkler system, and air-conditioning system.
Once completed, the new COA building is expected to have an average floor area of 4,111.69m2; three sets of electric elevators; three sets of elevated water tanks; four floors of office facilities and spaces; a basement level; new function rooms and storage rooms; and a total of 206 parking slots.
In April, DPWH undertook the road widening project of a section of the Kabankalan-Bais Road, in Kabankalan City, Province of Negros Occidental.
Worth nearly $786,000 (38.2m peso), the widening of the Kabankalan-Bais Road was expected to expedite agricultural products delivery and improve travel to and from the south-west portion of Kabankalan city.
