A joint venture (JV) partnership between Countryside and Kingston Council has secured planning consent for the regeneration of Cambridge Road Estate in the UK.

The mixed-use regeneration masterplan consists of 2,170 homes, of which 45% will be affordable.

These homes will be developed in a mix of maisonettes, flats, and houses of various sizes.

About 767 homes of the 941 affordable homes will be for social rent, 154 for intermediate tenure and 20 for shared ownership. The development will also include an additional 114 council homes.

Countryside stated that a detailed planning application for the first phase of the regeneration project has also been approved.

The first phase will include 452 homes, 15 for shared ownership and 150 for social rent.
