
Cordoba Corporation has secured a contract from Chicano Federation to provide construction management services for the Hawthorn 1 Rehabilitation project.
The scope of work under the contract involves renovation and upgrade of a 14-unit affordable housing complex located in the Golden Hill community of San Diego.
It also involves replacement of stairs, walkways, deck and stair rail; window retrofit; roof replacement along with insulation and roof gutters.
The Hawthorn 1 Rehabilitation project also includes installation of solar water heater and upgrade of ADA living unit.
Work on the project is scheduled to commence in June this year, with completion expected in 2023.
Cordoba Corporation construction manager Joshua Beltran said: “It is an honor to come home to San Diego and work on such a meaningful project supporting the mission of the Chicano Federation.

Hawthorne 1 is one of nine affordable apartment buildings that are owned and operated by Chicano Federation.
Recently, Suffolk announced the completion of construction of 200 Linden Avenue, a condominium building in San Francisco, California, the US.
Located near downtown South San Francisco and the city’s Caltrain station, the 97-unit condominium building includes 78 market-rate and 19 affordable units.
The 200 Linden eight-story complex, officially called The Linden, is designed by BDE Architecture and developed by Hisense Real Estate.
It features contemporary architecture designs and offers a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans, each with unique layouts and amenities.
