The design-bid-build Military Construction project will include the construction of five buildings that will support four companies and a Troop Aid Station in the 225 Brigade Support Battalion.

The COFs are intended to support basic command and control functions, unit supply and equipment management activities, deployment readiness, maintenance and inspection, and secure storage for specialised equipment in a unitised single structure.

The five new structures include two one-storey Readiness Module structures for assembly/storage occupancy, one administrative module, and two one-storey covered hardstands for storage occupancy.

This project forms part of efforts to consolidate the 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team of the 25th Infantry Division at the South Range location.

It will also follow current requirements set by the National Fire Protection Association, International Building Code, National Electrical Code, relevant Unified Facilities Criteria, and the US Army Standard Design for COFs.

The contract also expands Conti Federal’s activities in the Pacific region, where it holds positions on the USACE Honolulu $495m Hawaii multiple-award task order contract and the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Pacific $990m Indo-Pacific indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity multiple-award construction contract.

Previous projects undertaken by the company in the region include renovations at Camp Hansen in Okinawa and fuel system repairs at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam.

Conti Federal Indo-Pacific region business development director Jason Roberts said: “This project represents another step forward in Conti Federal’s long-term strategy to strengthen our presence across the Indo-Pacific.

“As the region continues to be a focal point for US defence priorities, we’re proud to contribute the infrastructure that enables mission readiness and regional stability.”

In April this year, Conti Federal Services finished renovating Maintenance Hangar Building 1643 at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, Texas, US.
