Construction work of the terminal building, first runway, and the air traffic control (ATC) tower at the Noida International Airport in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh will commence in May.
The work under the first phase is slated to complete by September 2024, reported News18.com.

The plan for the development of the Greenfield airport was given approval by the Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL) board last week.
Developed by the Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL), a subsidiary of Zurich International Airport, the first phase of this project is expected to cost $750m (INR57.3bn).
The development plan for the airport was examined by an independent engineer firm, Engineer India Limited. This plan was also approved by the board.
The master plan of the international airport was passed in August 2021.

By GlobalDataNIAL board has given approvals required for sanctions, including those on financial closures for the development work, which will be carried out by the concessionaire.
The concessionaire is required to appoint engineering, procurement and construction contractor. The first phase will see the airport have one runway and an annual handling capacity of 12 million passengers.
Ground levelling work and construction work of the boundary wall at the airport are being undertaken.
