Jubail Island Investment Company has broken ground on the first phase of $1.36bn (AED5bn) Jubail Island development’s villas in Abu Dhabi.

The latest move follows the appointment of Arabian Construction Company (ACC) for the construction of first phase of villas in March this year.

Located between Yas Island and Saadiyat Island, Jubail Island development will be an idyllic collection of villages and will be home to more than 5,000 residents.

Spanning more than 45 million m2, the luxury project will include a beach club, a sports centre, restaurants, schools, supermarkets, nurseries, a community club, specialised clinics as well as other commercial establishments.

The Phase I will include construction of 300 modern and Mediterranean-inspired villas ranging from three to six bedrooms on land plots from 1,300m2 to 6,000m2.

Approximately 60% of the roads and infrastructure of the first phase has already been completed.
The first tranche of Phase Ivilla construction on Jubail Island is planned to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Jubail Island Investment Company managing director Mounir Haidar is quoted in Zawya saying: “This ground-breaking ceremony for Jubail Island projects demonstrates confidence, credibility, and gives our customers the trust that the project will be completed on time.

“Once completed, Jubail Island will be an important addition to the real estate landscape in Abu Dhabi.
“We are proud to be part of this development and we aim to achieve the highest standards in terms of sustainability and in terms of a lifestyle for future customers and residents.”
