US-based MYCON General Contractors has commenced construction on new coordination complex of Brazos Transit District in Texas, US.

Located at 2117 Nuches Lane, Bryan, the complex is known as “The Tate” and will serve as the new corporate headquarters of Brazos Transit District.

The project is named after and dedicated to the former City of Bryan Mayor, Marvin Tate, a survivor of the Texas A&M Junction Boys, which was coached by Coach Paul “Bear Bryant” in the mid-1950s.

Scheduled to be completed in December this year, the facility will comprise offices, meeting spaces, a boardroom as well as lobby space.

The building will include integrated technology, which is the latest in built-in accessibility features, as well as a distinguished, adaptable board room ready for the technology of the future.

Williamson Group Architects and PlanNorth Architectural Company are working as the architects while Brazos Transit District is the owner of the project.

In September last year, MYCON General Contractors has started construction on a new Sanctuary for St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Grand Prairie, Texas.

The new 19,670 SF sanctuary, which will be located on 5.58 acres at 2910 Corn Valley Road in Grand Prairie, will have a seating capacity of 1,004.

The main space will include clerestory windows, a vaulted ceiling terminating at a cupola above the altar, a custom wood-trimmed stained glass which will screen between the sanctuary and adoration chapel as well as a stone baptistery with flowing water.

A loggia denoting the new entrance, additional parking space, site lighting and a detention pond with a weir system are the exterior improvements of the facility.

GFF Architects is the architect while Building Solutions will be the programme manager of the project, which is expected to be completed in August this year.
