Concept Companies has signed an agreement to start development of Applied Genetic Technologies’ new laboratory facility in Alachua, Florida, US.
The site will feature quality control labs and a manufacturing suite and expand the existing footprint of AGTC in Alachua’s Foundation Park developed by Concept Companies.

The new building, which will occupy an area of 21,000 square foot, is expected to be ready for occupancy next year.
Concept Companies founder, owner and CEO Brian Crawford said: “Alachua is the perfect location for companies like AGTC who operate out of corporate offices in larger municipalities such as Cambridge, but desire to have more customised, flexible and affordable R&D and manufacturing facilities in our business-friendly Sunshine State.”
The Foundation Park site is located strategically in the heart of the North Florida Research cluster offering biotechnology and life science companies build-to-suit laboratory and office space.

Recently, Concept Companies announced Alachua-based Momentum Labs facility, Momentum Labs. Phase One of the facility is expected to be between 50,000 and 60,000ft², with potential expansion up to 120,000ft².
