Caverion has entered into an agreement valued at approximately €80m ($91m) with Nebius DC, a subsidiary of Nebius, to deliver technical solutions for the Mäntsälä data centre owned by Nebius.
This contract includes installing advanced systems such as cooling, heat recovery, ventilation, and fire safety.
The Mäntsälä site is a key location for Nebius, a Netherlands-based technology company specialising in AI infrastructure.
The expansion project at the data centre involves enlarging the current facility and constructing two new buildings.
Upon completion, the updated data centre will accommodate a total capacity of 75MW.
Caverion’s role encompasses the provision of liquid-cooling systems, which will augment the existing air-cooling system, as well as various heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning installations for both the existing and new buildings.

By GlobalDataThe project commenced this month and is expected to reach completion in early 2026.
The Mäntsälä data centre is stated to utilise various technological solutions that aim to minimise environmental impact.
Specifically, the centre employs free cooling and has implemented a heat recovery system that channels waste heat into the local district heating network.
Currently, the data centre’s heat recovery system is said to salvage approximately 20,000MWh of energy each year, which is enough to heat about 2,500 Finnish homes.
The data centre’s expansion is expected to boost its heat recovery, further contributing to the reduction of heating-related emissions in the district, Caverion stated.
Caverion Finland CEO and EVP Ville Tamminen said: “At Caverion, we are committed to similar high sustainability principles as those adopted by Nebius. This assignment is very important to us and speaks for Caverion’s expertise in managing large-scale contracts and delivering high-quality technical solutions. We are proud to support Nebius in building highly performant, energy-efficient AI infrastructure in Finland.”
Nebius chief product and infrastructure officer Andrey Korolenko said: “The expansion of the Mäntsälä site is a strategically important part of our global AI infrastructure build-out, and will enable us to better serve growing demand from AI builders globally. We are pleased to count on Caverion’s expertise and multi-technical competence in ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.”
