BAM Construction has commenced work on the first phase of CEG’s £350m Temple Developments within the Temple district of Leeds, the UK.
The firm will deliver the 37,800ft2 seven-storey office building, named Globe Point, on Globe Road.

It will provide office space for up to 400 people and will also feature break-out space, business lounge and café kitchen on the ground floor.
Smart technologies such as sensors will be used in Globe Point to monitor the air quality and adjust air flow to control and drive energy performance.
Architect Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios has designed the project, which is aiming for BREEAM Excellent and EPC A.

The new development will also provide cycle parking space, showers, lockers as well as access to electric vehicle charging points.

“It’s gratifying to see energy efficiency and other environmental considerations playing an important role in the building’s design, along with tech capacity and internet connectivity.
“A project of this scale and ambition is a major boost for our efforts to deliver increased job opportunities for people across the city through the regeneration of Temple and the wider South Bank.”
CEG together with Leeds City Council is bringing further development to provide approximately four million ft2 of accommodation to Temple district.
The company is also working with Leeds City Council, the British Library and Historic England to protect the historic Temple Works.
