US-based industrial general contractor ARCO Design/Build has completed the construction of two buildings for AFGlobal in Waller, Texas.
Located at 19961 GH Circle in Waller, the two buildings cover a combined area of 95,000ft² and will be used for manufacturing and testing oil drill rigs.

AFGlobal is a subsidiary of AFG, a provider of technology, services and fully integrated manufacturing capabilities to clients across the country.
The build-to-suit facility supports AFGlobal’s upstream equipment serving the energy sector. The manufacturing building is serviced by 14 overhead cranes and includes an employee welfare area, mezzanine offices, a fabrication shop, a parts storage area and twenty assembly bays.
The testing building consists of two-storey office/shop for employees and visitor viewing, six test bays with a dedicated electrical substation, a wash bay and a fluids/lubrication shop.

By GlobalDataArchway Properties had helped AF Global in identifying the site, which now serves as the company’s corporate headquarters and main regional campus. The company initially planned to consolidate five local facilities on a long-term basis.

At present, ARCO is constructing two speculative warehouse facilities for Strategic Capital Partners in Durham, North Carolina.
The warehouse facilities cover a total area of 375,000ft², with each facility covering 187,500ft². Each facility will be able to accommodate six tenants and include exhaust fans/ louvres for ventilation and unit heater freeze protection heating.
