Arada has signed construction contracts worth Dh2.04bn ($555.48m) for the next phase of housing delivery at its Aljada development in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The agreements cover the construction of 2,210 residential units across 14 buildings within the multi-phase project.

China Tiesiju Civil Engineering Group, a subsidiary of of China Railway Group, will construct five Nesba buildings on East Boulevard and five Safa buildings on West Boulevard.
Mohammed Abdulmohsin Al Kharafi and Sons, based in Kuwait, will construct The Gate blocks 3-6, located near the southern entrances to the community.
This contractor has previously worked with Arada on projects in Aljada, Masaar and Nasma Residences.
Construction is set to last 26 months for both contracts, with completion scheduled for the second quarter of 2028.

The new buildings will offer a selection of apartments from one-bedroom to four-bedroom layouts. Smart home technology will be standard across all units.

“These new buildings will be delivered alongside major upcoming components of Aljada, including Madar Mall and the Arada Central Business District, reinforcing our commitment to creating a transformational, lifestyle-led destination.”
Nesba and Safa are situated next to Aljada’s sports park, a 400,000ft2 facility currently under construction and expected to be completed by late 2026.
The park will feature several sports pitches and courts as well as cycling, jogging tracks and play areas.
The Gate blocks 3-4 constitute a two-building complex at the main East Boulevard entrance opposite SABIS International School – Aljada.
Blocks 5-6 are located at West Boulevard, near Raffles World Academy Aljada, which is currently being built and due to open for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Aljada covers over 24 million ft2 and will ultimately provide more than 25,000 homes together with retail outlets, sports facilities, hospitality venues, offices and schools.
Approximately 20,000 residents already live within the community, which is located near Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, Al Dhaid Road and Sharjah International Airport.
