Al Dhafra Pipeline & Contracting Company (APCC) has secured a $11m (AED40m) contract from UAE-based Jubail Island Investment Company (JIIC) to build a new 66-berth marina in Marfa Al Jubail community in Jubail Island, UAE.

The project is scheduled to be completed within mid-2023.

APCC will build quay wall and related infrastructure along the marina’s edges and platforms.

The marina is being constructed as part of the Marina District within Marfa Al Jubail, according to JIIC.

AE7 is serving as the design consultant for the waterfront district’s concept and schematic design, which is underway.

Overlooking the Abu Dhabi Skyline, this new destination will provide residents and visitors a luxury waterfront destination along the shoreline. It is expected to be completed by mid-2024.

The $2.72bn (AED10bn) Jubail Island project is owned by JIIC and developed and managed by LEAD.

It will feature a collection of six residential village estates located between Yas Island and Saadiyat Island.

The district within Marfa Al Jubail, which is slated to launch this October, will feature 41 townhouses and 18 apartments located in one building block.

Marfa Al Jubail will be anchored by a yacht club complex and boardwalk featuring restaurants and cafes.

Commenting on the new contract, JIIC operations corporate director Abdulla Saeed Al Shamsi said: “We are thrilled to have officially signed the contract with APCC for Marfa Al Jubail. Set to be completed in mid-2023, the Marina will offer residents a holistic lifestyle within Jubail Island.”

“Marfa Al Jubail will be part of the array of social attractions and amenities within the island, that is unlike anything else in the capital.

“The contract signing reinforces JIIC’s commitment to developing a landmark destination and a premier marine community that is synonymous with luxury living.”
