AMIGO LNG SA de CV, a joint venture between Epcilon LNG and LNG Alliance, has awarded the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for its marine facilities to Constructora Manzanillo SA de CV (COMSA Marine).

This development is crucial for AMIGO LNG’s 7.8 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) export terminal in Guaymas, Sonora, on Mexico’s west coast.

Under the EPC contract, COMSA Marine will handle the terminal’s marine infrastructure. This includes the LNG jetty, berthing and mooring facilities, and associated utilities to support LNG loading operations.

The quad-berth marine facilities, equipped with LNG loading arms exceeding 15,000 cubic metres an hour, will ensure efficient LNG loading operations.

LNG Alliance CEO Muthu Chezhian said: “Awarding the EPC contract for our marine facilities represents a key achievement in our project schedule.”

He emphasised COMSA Marine’s experience in LNG terminal construction and marine engineering, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
