Metal manufacturer Alpha Manufacturing has partnered with INEOS electrochemical solutions for the construction of a new 35,000ft2 production facility at Beacon Park, Staffordshire, the UK.

The new facility is being constructed to manufacture components for INEOS and is expected to create approximately 50 jobs.

It builds on the launch of Alpha Integrated Solutions, a dedicated fabrication facility near Alpha’s 85,000ft2 principal facility in Hixon.

The new production facility is designed to house high-precision engineering and manufacturing processes, which will support the production of machineries that will be utilised in electrolysers used to produce chlor-alkali products.

It is said to be part of Alpha Manufacturing’s strategic plans to create nearly 100 new Staffordshire-based jobs in the next five years.

Alpha Manufacturing managing director Paul Clews said: “This is a fantastic moment for Alpha Manufacturing as we further enhance our commitment to the economic prosperity of Stafford.

“We are proud of our Staffordshire heritage and we are delighted that through collaboration with INEOS Electrochemical Solutions, Stafford Borough Council and our development partner ISE, we are able to continue investing in the area, creating jobs and contributing to the region’s reputation as a world-class centre of manufacturing excellence.”

In February this year, Keepmoat Homes secured planning consent from East Staffordshire Borough Council to construct 125 new homes in Burton Upon Trent in Staffordshire, the UK.

The project will include 41 two-bedroom, 61 three-bedroom and 23 four-bedroom detached and semi-detached houses on the former Imex Business Centre site, off Shobnall Road in the town.

The company purchased the 8.6-acre land from Homes England to build new homes on the site.
