Vinci Construction UK has secured a £46m contract from Tesco Stores to build a leisure and retail complex in West Bromwich, UK.

The complex will be built by Vinci Construction UK’s Midlands building division.

The project involves the demolition of existing buildings and the construction of a new Tesco Extra store and 43 new retail and leisure units with partially covered walkways.

The new complex will also feature a new road linkway, a cinema and other support buildings and infrastructure.

Tesco corporate affairs manager Jonathan Simpson said: "We are pleased to partner with Vinci on this prestigious project and look forward to seeing our vision for the town brought to life over the next two years."
