Seef Lusail Real Estate Development Company (SEEF) has appointed DP Architects as master planner for the Seef Lusail waterfront project in Qatar.
SEEF, a joint venture between Masraf Al Rayan and Qatari Diar, will take on the full development of Seef Lusail, a 600,000m2 multi-use development located at the Lusail waterfront and featuring a 2.3km promenade with multiple attractions.
Masraf Al Rayan executive director of engineering and real estate and CEO of SEEF Khalid Ahmad Fakhroo said that the joint venture has put together a world-class team to execute and develop the project.
"We’ve conducted numerous research and market studies aimed at helping us design a unique, sustainable, iconic development that is in line with Qatar’s 2030 vision. The appointment of DP Architects reaffirms our vision and outlook for Seef Lusail as a truly international waterfront," said Fakhroo.
The Seef Lusail development will feature retail, dining and entertainment facilities throughout the waterfront. Seef Lusail’s new hotels will cater to the family, business and luxury leisure segments; one of the hotels will be a fully integrated resort and spa. The design will also take into consideration the climate in Qatar, in order to ensure a lively and active waterfront all year round.
The development will have residential clusters in various parts of Seef Lusail that will offer modern accommodation for various population segments.
