Finnish construction company Lemminkainen has secured a contract from Kesko to develop K-citymarket in Kokkola, Finland, for an undisclosed sum.

The new supermarket will be constructed over an area of roughly 17,000m2.

Retailer Tokmanni will also occupy space on the site while around 1,000m2 of premises are reserved for other operators.

The forecourt of K-citymarket will have 700 parking places.

Construction work on the project in the Heinola area of Kokkola is slated to be completed in mid-2013.
