Laing O’Rourke has secured an contract worth £76m to construct a 34-storey residential tower at the White City Campus of Imperial College London.
Work will begin this month and is expected to completed in 2019.

Spanning 20,000m², it will feature 192 apartments, comprising 59 flats for key workers of the college at below market rents.
This is the firm’s third project on the White City Campus, reported Constructionindex.co.uk.
Imperial College development director for the White City Campus Graham Stark said: "This new residential tower is another exciting step for Imperial in White City. It demonstrates our long-term commitment to delivering a vibrant mixed use community.
"The tower is an integral part of our new 25-acre innovation campus and further establishes Imperial’s presence in the area for generations to come. The campus itself is the largest single development in the college’s history and offers huge potential for the local area."

By GlobalDataLaing O’Rourke Europe managing director Paul Sheffield was quoted by the website as saying: "We are delighted to be continuing our ongoing relationship with both Imperial College London and Voreda and look forward to delivering a residential building which will create a landmark building for the White City Campus."
Earlier this year, Imperial marked completion of structural building work for its Molecular Science Research Hub and Translation & Innovation Hub.
The two interconnected hubs form one of the first major parts of the innovation ecosystem for the college’s new White City Campus.
