August 2021 has seen a decrease of 0.06% in the overall hiring activity when compared with July 2021.

IT jobs accounted for a 4.27% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in August 2021, registering an increase of 0.42% over the last three-month average share.

Miscellaneous Computer Occupations Occupations leads by classification in August 2021

Miscellaneous Computer Occupations Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 33.33% in August 2021, a 50% rise over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 25.93% in August 2021, marking a flat month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer Support Specialists with a share of 22.22% in August 2021, a flat growth from July 2021.

KEO International Consultants Co with 3 IT jobs and KBR with 3 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 200% rise, respectively, while Majid Al Futtaim Holding recorded a 50% increase with 3 job postings during August 2021.

United Arab Emirates featured next with a 22.22% share, up 20% over the previous month. Kuwait recorded an 18.52% share, a flat growth compared with July 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 55.56%, up by 114.29% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 29.63% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 14.81% share, flat growth over July 2021.
