US-based company Jones Lang LaSalle’s IT hiring increased 4.4% in July 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 2.75% in July 2021 when compared with June 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 4.98% share in the company’s total hiring activity in July 2021, and recorded a 0.2% down over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Jones Lang LaSalle IT hiring in July 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Jones Lang LaSalle, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 46.15% in July 2021, and a 25.58% growth over June 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 29.91% in July 2021, and registered a 40% increase. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 11.97% in July 2021, a 33.33% drop from June 2021.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Jones Lang LaSalle

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global construction IT hiring activity in July 2021 with a 49.57% share, which marked an 18.37% growth over the previous month.

North America stood next with 38.46%, registering a 12.5% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with an 11.97% share and a 40% growth over June 2021.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 37.61% share in July 2021, a 12.82% growth over June 2021. India featured next with a 21.37% share, down 10.71% over the previous month.Philippines recorded a 20.51% share, an increase of 140% compared with June 2021.

Junior Level jobs held a share of 56.41%, up by 20% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 23.93% share, a decline of 20% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 19.66% share, up 109.09% over June 2021.
