Norwegian construction and civl engineering company Veidekke has been awarded a design and build contract, worth around $45m (SEK382m), by real estate developer Nordr Eiendom for the Haga Boulevard and Haga Venue residential projects in Hagastaden, Stockholm.

Featuring 243 apartments in the new area, the first buyers will be able to occupy the units by 2023 and 2024.

The new residential area has two tenant sections.

Construction of the first project, Brf Haga Boulevard, began in autumn of last year, and as this project had seen good sales, building of the second project, Brf Haga Venue, is now commecing.

Veidekke previously worked for Nordr in Hagastaden, including for a garage.

The firm’s contracts for Nordr, which was earlier known as Veidekke Eiendom, in Hagastaden carries a total value of approximately $64m (SEK540m).

The value of the latest build and design contract will be included in Veidkke’s Q4 2020 order book.

Established in 1936, the Oslo stock exchange-listed Veidekke has an annual turnover of approximately NOK37bn ($4.6bn), and around 50% of its 8,200 employees own shares in the firm.
