
Cordish Companies unit Stadium Casino and Gilbane Building have announced the topping-off of the new Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, US.
The 1.5 million-square-foot gaming, entertainment and casino resort destination is being constructed in the middle of Philadelphia’s Stadium District, with opening expected next year.
Live! will have 2,200 slots and electronic table games, along with more than 150 live-action table games and a Sportsbook.
The facility will also include a 12-storey boutique hotel with more than 200 rooms, restaurants, live entertainment venues, valet parking and a new parking facility.
Cordish Companies chairman David Cordish said: “What we are creating in Philadelphia’s Stadium District is unrivalled anywhere in the country. Sports fans, foodies, gaming enthusiasts, concertgoers, and anyone looking for a night of fun and excitement only have to make one stop to experience it all.

By GlobalDataIt is estimated that the project will bring around $2bn in economic stimulus and $100m in tax revenues to the City of Philadelphia in the initial five years of operation.
In addition, the project has agreed to offer living wages for all employees, with more than $15m in funding during the first ten years for advancing the local community.
Live! is expected to generate 2,000 new permanent employment opportunities and 3,000 jobs during construction.
Apart from Philadelphia, Cordish will begin construction on a new Live! Casino in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, this month.
