The complex, located at 272 Grochowska Street, will house a 1,877-seat concert hall.
Atelier Thomas Pucher leads the overall design, with support from acoustics consultancies Eckhard Kahle Acoustics and Müller-BBM.
It is intended to merge elements of two concert hall layouts: the rectangular ‘shoe box’ and the ‘vineyard’ style, where the audience surrounds the stage.
The new building will offer a usable floor area of nearly 22,500m², allowing for large-scale symphonic performances.
According to the plans, the acoustics will be tailored to create a reverberation time of approximately 2-2.3 seconds at mid-range frequencies, with a slight increase at lower frequencies.
A prominent feature of the complex will be a public garden and a 400m suspended promenade.
Visitors will have access to a spacious foyer with glass walls, enabling views into the concert hall throughout the day.
In addition, three green patios will bring natural light to the building’s lower levels, including backstage areas.
Alongside the main concert hall, the project comprises the renovation and integration of two historic buildings with a combined floor space of 2,185m².
The site will also include a chamber hall for about 400 people and facilities such as rehearsal rooms, dressing rooms, storage, a music library and recording studios equipped for live broadcasts.
The public garden will be linked to a neighbouring park.
The City of Warsaw and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage are funding the development.
In July 2026, Liverpool City Council and Kier Property named Vinci Construction the preferred design-and-build contractor for the Pall Mall regeneration scheme in Liverpool city centre.
