Foxway has announced plans to expand its technology centre located in Tartu, Estonia, bringing together all operational and support functions currently spread across two buildings into a single site.

This development aims to enhance operational efficiency and support the company’s long-term strategic objectives.

The expansion will increase the facility’s size by approximately 10,000m², resulting in a total area of 16,890m².

The completion of construction is anticipated by the end of 2027.

For several years, Foxway has operated from two separate buildings situated approximately 2km apart.

One of these facilities is reportedly in need of significant investment to meet environmental, social, and governance heating standards and poses capacity and logistical issues.

By centralising its operations at the Põhjaringi location, Foxway aims to create a more sustainable and scalable environment.

This move is expected to facilitate advancements in automation, leveraging the company’s engineering capabilities demonstrated in its newly implemented automated warehouse system.

The new facility will follow the design principles of the existing Põhjaringi building, focusing on accessibility, energy efficiency, and employee well-being.

Planned features include full wheelchair access, increased parking for bicycles and scooters, and additional electric vehicle charging stations.

Foxway CEO Patrick Höijer said: “This expansion is a strategic leap forward for Foxway. The Tartu site has long played a pivotal role in enabling our operations and delivering on our circular tech mission.

“By bringing all functions under one roof, we’re enhancing our operational flow, reducing internal transport time, and setting the stage for future automation, and just as importantly, this move strengthens team collaboration and improves communication, by bringing our people under one roof.”
