
The City of Dallas has chosen Trinity Alliance, led by AECOM Hunt and Turner Construction, as the construction manager for Component 1 of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Master Plan project.
As construction manager at risk, Trinity Alliance will be responsible for the range of preconstruction, construction, and associated demolition services for the expansion.
Trinity Alliance comprises equity joint venture partners and associate partners who will play a crucial role in the delivery of the project.
These equity partners comprise BOWA Construction, CORE CMCI, EJ Smith Construction, GCC Enterprises, Pienado Construction, and Source Building.
Team partners such as Acari Management Group, BYRNE Construction Services, Copeland Contracting Company, LeVis Consulting Group, Mahuya Industries, Othon, RM Chin & Associates, and STL Engineers will provide additional support on the project.
The Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Master Plan project represents a significant investment in the revitalisation of downtown Dallas.

The team brings a wealth of experience to the project, with over 70 convention projects completed previously across the US, including the Fort Worth and San Antonio convention centres.
It has managed $15bn in convention centre projects, which have generated more than 150,000 jobs, and has completed major entertainment venues such as SoFi Stadium and Intuit Dome.
AECOM Hunt, based in Dallas, has been a key player in the area’s infrastructure development since 1979.
Turner Construction, meanwhile, marking its 100th year in Texas, has contributed significantly to the Dallas-Fort Worth skyline with multiple landmark civic and commercial buildings.

Last month, a joint venture comprising AECOM Hunt and Barton Malow was appointed as the construction manager for the Jacksonville Jaguars’ new ‘Stadium of the Future’ in Florida, US, after receiving a unanimous vote of approval from the National Football League.
This April, the $2.1bn Highmark Stadium project in New York, US, managed by Gilbane Building Company and Turner Construction, celebrated a milestone with the placement of the final key roof module.
