Permasteelisa Gartner Middle East, a unit of facade specialist Permasteelisa Group, has signed an agreement for a joint venture (JV) with ALBADDAD Capital, which has dual headquarters in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Saudi Arabia.

The initial plans of the collaboration will focus on establishing a specialist curtain wall production facility and working on facade projects in the Middle East region.

The collaboration will leverage the Italian company Permasteelisa’s expertise in facade design and ALBADDAD’s manufacturing capabilities to enhance construction resources in the region.

The JV’s production facility, located in Jebel Ali, Dubai, will feature an area of 44,749m², with a 20,000m² indoor built-up area dedicated to fabricating curtain wall systems.

Permasteelisa Group chief operating officer Lee Marks said: “This partnership will have a notable impact on the way we deliver facade projects in the region, bringing together the long-established strengths of both our companies.

“We bring unparalleled expertise in the delivery of complex, high-performance facade engineering and design, which, coupled with ALBADDAD Capital’s significant localised manufacturing capacity, regional market knowledge, and fast-track delivery capabilities, creates a powerful player in the market.”

ALBADDAD Capital CEO Ihab Mouallem said: “This is an exciting development for the region, bringing together two of the best specialists in their respective fields to provide customers with something truly special and something we believe to be different from anything else the market has to offer.

“The partnership seeks to combine the very best of our two companies, bringing decades of experience for the benefit of our JV customers in the future.”

Permasteelisa Group has been active in the Middle East since 2002, completing over 50 projects, including buildings in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. ALBADDAD Capital, meanwhile, was founded in 1971.

This collaboration reflects ALBADDAD Capital’s commitment to fast-track project execution and expand into the industrial sector for glass and aluminium facade systems. It marks Permasteelisa Group’s first JV in the UAE, with future expansion plans into Saudi Arabia.

Operating under the unified brand ‘ALBADDAD PERMASTEELISA’, the partnership aims to strengthen both companies in technology and architectural engineering.
