Cladding work has been completed at the international broadcast and main press centres (IBC/MPC) at the Olympic site in London.

The 20,000-seat IBC/MPC will house broadcasters, press and photographers reporting on the 2012 Olympic Games.

The building has been designed by a team made up of Allies and Morrison, Buro Happold and RPS Burks Green. Carillion will deliver the project.

The concrete foundations for the IBC/MPC were built by O’Keefe, and Hathaway installed the cladding and the roof covering for the IBC. The cladding was manufactured by Euroclad.

Stanford Flooring poured the concrete flooring for the IBC, while Byrne Brothers is currently pouring the concrete for the MPC frame.

The IBC steel was fabricated by Severfield Reeve and produced by Corus.
