Hawkins Brown has unveiled a new-look town hall in London. The building recently underwent restoration to resuscitate the historic building.
The £6.4m ($10m) restoration of 1930s Grade II-listed town hall had been commissioned by Hackney council.

The practice collaborated with English Heritage for the scheme, which took 18 months to complete.
Original features such as the council chamber’s plaster domed ceiling, vaulted galleries, walnut panelling and ornamental gold cornicing and the assembly room’s sprung maple dance floor were restored.
A new foyer has been created in a former passage made up of precast decorative concrete cladding with sealed glazed walls and roof.
The design incorporates historic elements of the building, including the exposed brickwork of a Tudor mansion which originally stood on the site.
